A four-piece post-punk band, The New Cut combine the energy of classic groups like The Fall, Wire, and The Monochrome Set with modern themes and contexts. Formed in 2021, the Bristol-based act has quickly garnered momentum with a series of successful releases, leading to support slots for Buzzcocks, Sprints, and The Bug Club, as well as making it onto Green Man Festival’s 2024 Emerging Talent longlist. With the recent releases Valuable Customer, ‘And As Always’ and CHRS PCKHM, The New Cut are poised to transition from a local favourite to a rising name in the UK post-punk scene

Reasonably loud and suitably energetic, Morton Betts put a fresh spin on music that sits somewhere between rock, punk, and generally alternative.
Lancaster-born dynamic duo Jack Taylor and Niall Graham founded the band, brought to life on stage through the addition of crashing, high-octane drums from Liam Santon and driving, funk-fuelled basslines from Joe Lewis.
This has helped to create a unique sound fuelled by an amalgamation of post-punk, rock ‘n’ roll and progressive inspirations. The sort of fellas you’d write home about.
