Azymuth is a globally renowned, highly influential Brazilian jazz-funk trio founded in the early 1970s. Their breezy fusion of electric jazz, pop, MPB, samba, tropical disco, and electronic music has influenced three generations of musicians, DJs, and producers. They called their music “samba doido,” meaning “crazy samba.”
After releasing a string of jazz-disco fusion albums throughout the late 70s/early 80s, they became one of the world’s great jazz bands, whose sound translated to dance club DJs. Azymuth have toured extensively this recent years, with UK dates this year including 3 packed out shows at London’s Jazz Cafe and a headline slot at the ever-eclectic We Out Here festival (curated by Gilles Peterson).

Seasoned DJ, Sure Delight has been plying his trade for over 35 years on the decks. He was also a member of the legendary Hip Hop group Def Tex. They started releasing many records worldwide from the early 90’s onwards (Soundclash & Son Records) and gigging around the UK/ Europe to great acclaim. During this time he has DJ’d at countless clubs, bars & parties, in many different places & spaces…
Sure D was one of the resident DJ’s for the popular club night ‘Marvel’ in hometown Norwich from 1995 to 2006. The Marvel night was renowned for playing a rich variety of underground music, old and new such as Funk, Hip Hop, Latin, Soul, Reggae, Boogie & much more…
