Top 3 favourite NAC gigs:
A Hawk & A Hacksaw (June 2009)
This was the first time I’d seen this Albuquerque Folk duo live and it was musical love at first sight. Jeremy Barnes had his one-man band set-up with drums, accordion and cow bell and I’d never seen such beautifully captivating violin played by Heather Trost.
Ibibio Sound Machine (Feb 2015 & Oct 2019)
Electronic Afro-Funk, a perfect mix. I absolutely adored the energy and positivity that radiated out of the church from Eno Williams. She is one of my all-time favourite live performers.
Mercury Rev (June 2016)
Indie legends in Norwich!? This was a bit of an emotional ‘meet your musical heroes’ night for me. Mercury Rev playing a Glastonbury warm-up on a hot Summer’s eve was dreamy and I’ve never seen the hall so brightly lit for the finale, The Dark is Rising, it was magical.
Most likely place you’ll find her: Out and about with a camera and her kids in a woodland or on a beach.
