Saturday’s Expo brings together synthesiser manufacturers and modular makers to celebrate our collective passion for electronic music-making boxes. Every corner of the Arts Centre will be alive with bleeps, bloops, flashing LEDs and extraordinary machines. All kinds of synthesisers will be available for you to try, with the makers on hand to answer questions and chat about how these instruments came to be. Expect big brands, home-spun builders, innovative community groups, and synths of every shape and size — big, small, new and old.
Throughout the day we have performances from modular musician Ardler Saint and experimental electronic artist e.m.arson leading up to our now legendary All-Star Patch-Off, where renowned modular performers are paired up to improvise live — completely unrehearsed — to the delight of all attendees.
