Poet’s Palace

Jess Murrain + Brandon Webb + J Solstice (Guitar)
Poet’s Palace is back, discovering new poetic talent and inviting new wonderful audiences to spoken word events in Norwich! Hosted by previous London headliner and local poet extraordinaire Rhian Brooke.
There will be eight open mic slots, two of which will be wild card picks on the night.
The audience will vote for their favourite open micer and the winner will feature at our next Norwich event.
Headliners for this show are the hilarious Brandon Webb (the winner of the audience vote from the last show) and the glorious Jess Murrain.

Brandon Webb
Brandon Webb is a performance poet, writer, actor and comedian living in Norwich. Originally from Great Yarmouth, Brandon has been dubbed “The bad boy of the Norfolk and Norwich poetry scene”. No one’s sure why or who said it, but he’s hoping it sticks. After studying Theatre at York St John University, Brandon has gone on to gain writing credits for Radio Norfolk’s BBC New Comedy Show and Radio 4’s Newsjack. He has performed at prominent poetry nights both in the UK and The Netherlands, including Say Owt, Labyrinth and TOAST, co-headlining the latter with Mark Grist. Combining satire, surrealism and social commentary, Brandon’s poetry delves deeply into subjects such as capitalism, cheeseburgers and lost cats…
