Jin Hao Li & Lou Wall

Thu 26 Jun 2025

Norwich Arts Centre presents a series of Edinburgh Fringe preview / work-in-progress shows from the best new comedians.

Jin Hao Li

Jin Hao Li was nominated for a Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards for his debut hour, “Swimming in a Submarine”.

Made in China and marinated in Singapore, Jin Hao is a comedy writer, and performer. Loved and feared for his dry wit, gritty softness, and surreal energy, he quickly became a Chortle Student Finalist, BBC New Comedy Awards Finalist, and was accepted into the Pleasance Comedy Reserve 2023.

As an accomplished actor, he was nominated for Best Actor at the National Youth Film Awards back home, but lost to someone more handsome and better at acting. His debut international role was in the Singaporean feature Tomorrow Is a Long Time (2023), which premiered at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival.

Lou Wall

Lou Wall is a multi-award-winning comedian, composer and content creator known for their genre-defying, politically savvy, and musically driven comedy. Most recently, they were nominated for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, cementing their reputation as a boundary-pushing force in the comedy scene.

Their 2020 digital musical Lousical the Musical swept the Green Room Awards, taking home Best Production, Best Writing, and Outstanding Online Achievement in Cabaret. Since then, Lou has delivered two sell-out Fringe shows, and in 2025, their latest work Breaking the Fifth Wall has received widespread critical acclaim— hailed as “a silly and profound stand-up masterpiece,” (The Guardian) while Chortle praised its “dazzling ambition and heart.”

Currently, Lou is a writer and presenter on ABC TV’s new show WTFAQ, and touring their Moosehead Awarded solo show: Lou Wall vs. The Internet.
