Despite initial discouragement, Jazzie pursued his passion, eventually signing with Virgin Records propelled by their underground hit ‘Fairplay.’ Their journey reached new heights as they soared to the top of the charts with chart-topping hits such as “Keep On Moving” and “Back To Life.”
Beyond their musical accomplishments, Soul II Soul expanded their brand and influence, becoming the first artist collective to open stores in London and Japan. Jazzie’s prowess as a producer and remixer led to collaborations with artists like James Brown, Sinead O’Connor, Nas, and Destiny’s Child.
