Step back in time to 6 June 1994…
Step back in time to 1994 to the heart of the Britpop era when tickets cost under a fiver and you could get it signed by the band to pin up alongside your pile of gig ticket trophies.
On 6 June 1994 Oasis graced the stage at Norwich Arts Centre which has been hosting musical legends since 1980. The gig was presented by local promoters The Wilde Club, also renowned for booking Nirvana on 30 October 1989. Over the years NAC has seen an amazing array of shows from performers who have subsequently gone on to achieve fame. Amongst those who have appeared are Ed Sheeran, Oasis, Muse, Coldplay, Kasabian, The Manic Street Preachers and more recently Kai Tempest, Self Esteem, Wet Leg and Young Fathers.
Now 30 years later, on the same date 6 June, tribute band ‘Not The Story’ aim to give fellow Oasis fans an evening of the bands biggest hits, sing-along anthems with a few carefully chosen deeper cuts thrown in for good measure. Formed in late 2022, the band have taken the local circuit by storm, with some brilliant performances. Plus support from Common People (DJs) the Britpop, dance and indie extravaganza determined to do all it can to bring the party to the masses!
We can’t bring back 1994 ticket and beer prices but it will certainly bring you a quality night of nostalgia not to be missed for any Britpop and Oasis fans!
