‘Attitude is Everything’ mystery shopper report

in

We were pretty proud of our staff this week when Aisling Gallagher of Attitude is Everything, the charity that supports disabled people’s access to live music, told us that she’d received ‘probably one of the most positive reports I’ve ever had from a Mystery Shopper!’

A mystery shopper from the organisation recently awarded NAC 10/10 in an accessibility report. The report highlighted easy booking and access to information, a warm welcome, step-free access and good sight-lines.

It was particularly good to hear that the “Volunteer felt that nothing was too much trouble for the staff – they felt reassured it was easy to find a member of staff when if needed, & the fact that the staff listened to the volunteer while they explained the issue they were having with standing – they did not question the volunteer or make them feel embarrassed for asking, but immediately helped as best they could”.

NAC were recently awarded Attitude Is Everything’s Bronze Award and are working towards attaining the silver award.

The venue’s Director Pasco Kevlin said ‘It’s really gratifying to receive such a glowing report from a mystery shopper. Accessibility is central to our ethos so to receive such positive praise from experts shows us that we are moving in the right direction.
We’re not resting on our laurels though; the upcoming NAC regeneration project will further improve access for everyone, both customers and performers. In order to make these improvements we have recently launched the 40/40 campaign, aiming to raise £40,000 by our 40th year in 2020. If everyone who’s visited or performed at NAC over the years gives just £1 to the NAC regeneration it will make a huge difference to the future of the venue.’
