The TOAST Workshop is a monthly two hour writing session lead by the best poets in the U.K. This month award winning poet Ella Frears will take you through creative processes and give you new ways of generating poetry.


Workshops are held at the National Centre for Writing, Dragon Hall, 115 King Street. They are fully wheelchair accessible and have refreshments provided. The main writing activities will be available where possible on the Toast website after the workshop.


If you’re under 25, a full-time student, or receive Jobseekers Allowance, Income Support, Working Tax Credit, Universal Credit, Pension Credit, income-related ESA or if your sole source of income is the state retirement pension, you’re eligible for a free ticket to our workshop. Events will engage with challenging material and subject matter which some might find triggering. However, there will always be spaces that participants can go if they need a break at any time
