Mixed Aerial Drop-In
A 2 hour class exploring a mix of aerial disciplines, including Silks, Hoop, Trapeze and Rope.
Silks, also known as tissu, are two pieces of fabric hung from a single point. Silks can be the most elegant aerial disciplines, creating dynamic shapes and balances as well as the fun of swinging, spinning and rolling! Students will learn basic climbing and wrapping techniques as well as daring drops.
Aerial Hoop and Trapeze are two of the most familiar pieces of circus equipment. The Trapeze is a horizontal bar suspended by two ropes, while the Aerial Hoop is a large hoop suspended in the air.
Rope, also known as corde lisse, similar to silks, but instead of two pieces of fabric we work with a single, long rope, to create shapes, wraps, drops and more.
Students should wear comfortable clothing which covers most of their skin to avoid injury.
Open to all abilities, including complete beginners. Our experienced tutors can work to the level of all those in the group.
