Burnt TOAST is a late night evening of poetry & spoken word from the country’s best writers. Come along for an hour of funny, thoughtful & entertaining performance.

 

Headline: John Osborne

 

John Osborne writes poems, stories and scripts. He has had poetry published in The Guardian, The Big Issue and The Spectator, and broadcast on Radio 1, Radio 3, XFM and BBC 6Music. In 2015 After Hours, the comedy he wrote with Molly Naylor was broadcast on Sky1. It was directed by Craig Cash and starred Jaime Winstone and Ardal O’Hanlon. His first theatre show John Peel’s Shed was a complete sellout at the 2011 Edinburgh festival and was adapted for Radio 4.His new poetry book is called No-one cares about your new thing.

Poppy Stevens is a poet and actor. She trained at East 15 drama school and leads poetry & spoken word workshops with young offenders around Norfolk. She lives in Norwich. 

 

Host: Lewis Buxton

 

Lewis Buxton is a poet, performer & arts producer. He was selected as one of the Poetry School & Nine Arches Press Primers Volume 4 poets and been published in Magma, Ambit & Oxford Poetry. He is a Norwich Arts Centre writer-in-residence and currently lives in Norwich
