As part of the Tilted Women Festival, celebrating International Women’s Day on Saturday 8th March, Kimberley Moore will be hosting an evening of performances with Local Female Artists in Norfolk. The line up is Anna Mudeka, Murmurations, Abby Bourke, Lassie Band, Helen Ivory, Daisy Black, Rhian Brooke, Gabby Rivers.

Kimberley Moore
Kimberley Moore is a singer, musician, composer, performer and workshop facilitator based in Norfolk. Singing and writing help her make sense of the world. Playing guitar and ukulele, Kimberley writes and performs semi-autobiographical lyrical songs with a twist. Norfolk https://www.kimberleymooremusic.co.uk

Anna Mudeka
Multi-instrumentalist, actress, singer, writer and educator, Anna Mudeka is a polymath proud to share the ancestral heritage of her native Zimbabwe through performance and workshops, inviting audiences of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to immerse themselves in sounds, spiritualism and fables of Africa. https://annamudeka.co.uk

Helen Ivory
Helen Ivory is a poet and visual who makes collage and shadowboxes. She was awarded a Cholmondeley Award by the Society of Authors in 2024. She edits the webzine IS&T and teaches for Arvon. Constructing a Witch (October 2024) her sixth collection with Bloodaxe Books, is a PBS Winter Recommendation. She is one of NAC’s Tilted Women.

Murmurations
Murmurations are a folk inspired musical flock, from Norwich, UK. The female musicians combine Irish Bouzouki, mandolin, cello, flute and harmonium to create what has been referred to as ‘music for the moors’. With intimate storytelling, sweet harmonies and powerful instrumentation, Murmurations come together to share something bigger than the sum of their parts.

Abby Bourke
Abby Bourke is and has just completed their degree at the UEA for English Literature and Creative Writing. Playing guitar, singing, writing stories and poetry- this is Abby’s 4th public performance since coming to Norwich, and they hope to do a lot more of it in the future!

Rhian Brooke
Rhian Brooke is a performance poet from Norwich. She hosts Poet’s Palace Norwich and is also a regular on the London spoken word scene. She has headlined, featured and hosted many poetry events including Mind Over Matter, Bring Your Own Bars, Moetry, TOAST and Groove Verse. Her poetry is eclectic, mixing funny intricate wordplay with a quirky performance style. She tackles a range of hard hitting subjects from social injustice, racism and misogyny to mental health, anxiety and relationships but sprinkles humour throughout. Rhian has had a number of poems published in various anthologies. She is a member of The Recording Academy (representing Spoken Word Poetry). Her debut spoken word album ‘We Met On The Stairs Of A Bungalow’ has had multiple tracks played on BBC Radio and is available on vinyl as well as all streaming platforms.

Lassie
Emily Winng and Camille Davila form a
Psychedelic-folk laced duo band with twangy-punk and hard hitting harmonies.

Gabby Rivers
Gabby Rivers is a 21 year old singer/songwriter performing upbeat indie/alternative originals with soulful and powerful vocals. She has a 5 piece band and so far in her musical journey she has performed at festivals including Latitude music festival, Reading music festival and Secret garden party. She has recently supported artists including STONE, Deco, Coach party, Vistas and Ellie Dixon, in 2023 went onto release her EP “Disappointed but not surprised’ receiving BBC radio 1 play on Future Alternative. She released an EP called Headache in 2020 which has received support from BBC introducing and 6 Music. Her track UH OH released last year was BBC introducing Suffolk’s track of the week and she sold out her debut headline show in Norwich at voodoo daddy’s showroom in 2022 and another show again in 2023. So far in 2024 Gabby has released her electrifying pop/rock tune dig me which has picked up lots of attention on spotify being added onto an editorial playlist ‘Shockwave’ and has been consistently spun on the radio.

Xenia Horne
Xenia Horne Harpist, singer/songwriter and producer. Xenia has a powerful playing style and her repertoire crosses cultures and continents. Her music includes Celtic traditional tunes, music from Georgia and Eastern Europe together with her own songs . Xenia also regularly composes for radio, film and theatre. Locally Xenia has been playing with Kimberley Moore and Tess Wingate who will feature in Sanctuary Space that Xenia produces at Folk East. Xenia is currently working on a new album and EP which will be released Autumn 2025.

Tess Wingate
Tess is a music therapist and folk musician based just outside Norwich. She plays flute, harmonium and sings with Wendsum, Xim, Breathing Space with Kimberley Moore and Xenia Horne, and Flann.

Daisy Black
Daisy Black is a local circus performer, artist and writer and director of Gossamer Thread Circus. Her most recent cross -artform project Feral explores our connection with the more than human world.
