+ Glitchers + Slughouse
pink suits are a Queer Feminist Punk Rock & Rage duo based in Margate, UK. Formed in 2017, pink suits make loud aggressive political punk noise as well as dance, physical theatre, film and art. pink suits work is an exploration of gender, sexuality, mental health, politics, activism and protest, questioning how voices and bodies can be used as a form of resistance.
Slughouse are a three-piece, math-rock band from Suffolk. Described as ‘mouth-wateringly wonky math-grunge marvels’ by Seymour Quigley they have been slowly gigging their way around the East Anglia music scene delivering confusing and un-melodic melodies to the masses. Underground Sound describes them as “an experimental force, [that] melds the intricate chaos of Tera Melos, the ethereal complexity of Radiohead, and the avant-garde brilliance of Black Midi.” Later on they would also describe their music as being “on the edge of sanity, blending math-rock precision with psychedelic ambience, creating a sonic odyssey that challenges conventions and enthrals with its unorthodox, mind-bending soundscapes.”
Glitchers, that punk band who’ve been causing mayhem on high streets across the country!
In 2020 with nothing else to do Jake taught Sophie how to play drums to a few Glitchers songs. It was when the tories told artists to retrain that Glitchers officially kicked off, the moment shops & the streets were open they were out.
Their energetic street punk performances brought some chaotic art to the world when it needed it the most. Now 3 years on; they’ve crashed many sold out shows with the signature “After Party Street Gigs” and toured the car parks on the My Chemical Romance UK Tour after personal invitation from Frank, caused confusion and annoyance to many police & security with their flash street gigs, and have gained such a broad fanbase from being able to bring a Punk Show directly to anyone & everyone.
