Funke and the Two Tone Baby & Samantics
+ JULIET
For the first time, Funke and the Two Tone Baby and Samantics join forces and head out on a double-headline UK tour taking in no less than 20-dates, with the finale being their biggest ever headline show, The Exeter Phoenix. In November ‘23, Samantics was invited to join Funke as a special guest at the Bristol show of his album tour. The loopers’ musical output, ethos and fan base complimented each other’s so well that Samantics was then invited to do the same at three shows on Funke’s Spring tour earlier this year. Again, the shows brilliantly jelled together in such a unique way that both Funke and Samantics agreed that more of their fans should get to experience such a perfect pairing of musical talent. And so, the KAOSS TOUR ’24 was born…
Two sides of the same coin. Both chaotic and cathartic in different measures. Bright and energetic. Unhinged and esoteric. Both acts often find themselves compared to one another, but they are totally different in terms of musical style and performance. Sure, both artists use a Kaoss pad, but dig deeper and you will find their own unique set up of samplers, looping stations, triggers, guitars & more enabling them to both deliver a fresh and unique show. Funke coming from the beats, bass and dance angle and, Samantics; a more lyrically focused, pull-at-your-heartstrings, laidback affair. Both shows being utterly brilliant in their own way. Funke and the Two Tone Baby and Samantics have truly earned their gigging stripes with a combined gig history of over 22-years. The pair have endlessly toured the UK and beyond whilst hitting up the very best festivals, such as:Glastonbury, BoomTown, Beautiful Days, Bearded Theory, Nozstock, Isle of Wight and many more. The KAOSS TOUR ‘24 promises to be a unique meeting of musical minds, filled with the pairs greatest and biggest hits, unforgettable performances, belly laughs, tears, and your very best dance moves.
JULIET
With her powerful, soulful, unique vocals, JULIET cleverly blends her emotive spoken word lyrics with her upbeat captivating hooks. Throughout her younger years ‘Dolly Parton’ played a huge part in JULIETs musical performance of today. She draws accents from more modern artist like ‘Kae Tempest’, ‘Little sims’ and ‘RAYE’, fusing sounds like Afro beats, R&B, Pop and Jazz.
