Administration Assistant (Intern)
Norwich Arts Centre and Young Norfolk Arts Trust are recruiting an Administration Assistant (Intern)
Hours: 30 hours per week
Duration: 26 weeks
Wage: National Minimum Wage
Location: Based at Norwich Arts Centre but off-site working will be required
About the Role
The intern will play an important role in assisting with the delivery of the creative programmes of both organisations and will benefit from this wide and valuable work experience opportunity. Supervision and support will be provided by both organisations. The role will be split between these two dynamic arts organisations and the post holder will require administration, event management and delivery and finance skills.
About the Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be a graduate and will be excellent at communicating via any medium and have great organisational skills. They will also need to be competent with financial tasks and enthusiastic about a career in the arts. Appointment conditional on clear DBS check being received.

There are certain criteria you must meet in order to be eligible to apply for a Creative Employment Programme funded internship. At the time of applying you must be aged 18 to 24 years old and you must be registered as unemployed with Jobcentre Plus. Norwich Arts Centre has a small team of volunteers who are essential to the smooth running of our events.
If you have a few spare hours and would like to get involved with a vibrant arts organisation, get in touch!
In return we can offer in-house training, complimentary tickets and use of our darkroom facilities.
Take an active role in the running of a busy front of house. Duties include selling tickets for events and workshops, dealing with general enquiries and welcoming visitors.
Evening Session: 6pm – 10pm (4 hours)
Assist in the smooth running of events. Duties include checking tickets, distributing programs, assisting customers with enquiries and watching the performance to ensure health and safety requirements are met.
Evening Events: 7.30pm – end of performance
Communication skills, confidence, reliability, enthusiasm, passion for the arts and a sense of humour.
Evening shifts available.
