Based around a given theme, speakers tell true, personal stories without notes, True Stories believe that everyone has stories that can entertain and inspire those who hear them.
True Stories Live aims to help people find and share their stories in a warm, supportive setting.
“I really enjoyed the whole evening. It was fun and liberating to tell a story, fascinating to hear others tell theirs, and wonderful to meet lots of lovely people” – Nick Walker , True Stories Live 18th September 2016.
True Stories Live began as a monthly night at Norwich Arts Centre. In 2017 we’re taking it on a nationwide tour, and offering a new scheme for young people to get involved in. More news soon.
True Stories offer free workshops prior to performances to help interested speakers discover and develop their stories, ready to perform at an event if they wish to. They nurture and celebrate intimate, anecdotal storytelling from performers and non-performers alike.
