A nonsense adventure for 3-7 year olds and their families.
Follow Owl and Pussycat as they set out on the high seas with only some honey, money and a runcible spoon to help them find their way through a topsy turvey world!
Along the way they meet the piggy wig, the turkey who lives on the hill and the strangest looking tree you’ll ever see!
Enjoy this absurd hogwash of nonsense featuring silly songs, babbling puppets and smaller than life characters.
Puppetry, live music and beautiful storytelling combine in this enchanting retelling of Lear’s classic poem.

Directed by Sarah Brigham, artistic director at The Point in Eastleigh (which is co-producing the production), with dramaturgy by Olivier Award-winning dramatist Mike Kenny (The Railway Children), this exciting new production is aimed at children aged three to seven and their families.
Hiccup Theatre is a new children’s theatre company headed by acclaimed composer and performer Ivan Stott. This exciting company creates bold and visually striking work for children and families with an emphasis on interplay between music, storytelling and physical theatre.
“It is a play about difference and how two characters from very different backgrounds, in fact species, can find harmony and even love. It requires versatility. Our performers are all actor-musicians, skilled puppeteers and understand how necessary it is to not patronise our young audience but to live up to their imaginative expectations.”

We have a fun and enchanting production of The Owl and The Pussycat with us on Sunday 11 March at 2pm and 4pm and we would love to see your drawings of these two lovable characters.
We’ll display all the entries on Sunday 11 March in our foyer and pick our winners from each age category.
