Hocus Pocus Theatre’s Burlesque Club Night takes on a spectacular circus twist. An excellent excuse for dressing up, dancing to great music and catching glamorous and skilled stage shows in between.
With performances from international burlesque showgirl… CHERRY SHAKEWELL
Queen of kitsch, strutter extraordinaire, wiggler and whirler to the stars, Ms Shakewell really is the icing on the cake! A sensational and saucy showgirl, well established in the U.K, she can often be seen in other exotic destinations such as Milan, Paris (Moulin Rouge) and Brussels and has graced the stage for and with many a star such as fat Boy slim, Fun lovin Criminals, Colin Farrell, Jeremy Irons amongst others. A powerhouse of bumps and grinds she will captivate all who cast their eye upon this lady’s hourglass figure.
Comedy boylesque unicycling from… COUNT ADRIANO FETTUCCINI
The Count is well respected on the UK and International Burlesque circuit. He utilises circus skills and comedy to add a truly unique twist to the Art of Burlesque Striptease. Adriano was a finalist in the 2009 Male Tournament of Tease and appears in the first issue of The Burlesque Bible. Fresh back from an Italian tour with ‘An Evening of Burlesque’ we are thrilled to have this NO STRINGS favourite introduce boylesque to the BOOGALOO in such a remarkably skilled way!
Plus hand-balancer extraordinaire… JAYMIE-LEIGH
This talented and highly skilled young lady trained in Gymnastics and Dance from a young age and then went on to circus school ‘Ecole Nationale des Arts du Cirque’, Paris, where she focused on her Acrobatic skills with Dance and Theater. She then went on to train at Academie Fratellini, also in Paris, focusing on Handbalancing and Aerial. Jaymie-Leigh will be warming up the main auditorium with a sexy little cabaret number, including acrobatics, handbalancing and a whole lot of attitude.
Live music from Juke & The All-Drunk Orchestra playing killer jives and forbidden pleasures.
As if that wasn’t enough, venerable vinyl veterans DJs JAZZLORD, KEITH SLATER and SPENNY will have the joint jumping with a mix of rare vintage Rhythm ‘n’ Blues, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Jamaican Ska, Rocksteady, Cumbia and Tropical music.
