Home Recording Workshop INTRODUCTION

£45.00 : £40.00 concessions : one day course (30 mins lunch)

This one-day course is aimed at musicians looking to start making recordings at home, or who have already started and want to improve the sound of their demos/recordings. Using simple audio editing software we’ll look at what makes a good-sounding track.

Covering:

Getting a good recording – tips, techniques and advice on equipment

Arranging and editing – use simple multi-track audio software to make tracks more interesting

Mixing your recordings – use EQ and compression to get a clearer sound

From your computer to the world – getting recordings onto CDs and the internet

Bring any recordings you’ve already made (with equipment for playing them). If you’ve not made any recordings there will be sample material to work on.

Please note, most courses require a minimum of four participants to run. If we do not receive enough bookings the course will be cancelled a few days before it is due to start, and your money will be refunded. Refunds cannot otherwise be given unless the course has a waiting list and your place can be filled.
