Want to join the WOW Norwich Team for April 2018?

WOW – Women of the World

WOW is a global festival that celebrates the incredible achievements of women and girls through creative workshops, interactive talks and entertainment, led by exciting and diverse artists and speakers.

Previous speakers have included Malala Yousafzai, Angela Davis, Christine Lagarde, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Salma Hayek, Annie Lennox, Gordon Brown and Patrick Stewart.

WOW Norwich

2018 is the centenary of female suffrage in the UK. Southbank Centre is marking this milestone with WOW Spirit, a partnership between Southbank Centre’s WOW – Women of the World festival and Spirit of 2012, who are funding the project. Working with local people in each location, we are developing and producing nine WOW festivals in five cities across the UK, coming to OPEN in Norwich from 27 – 29 April 2018.

Volunteer with WOW Norwich

We’re offering 10 people aged 18+ the opportunity to take part in 5-week training programme to volunteer as part of the WOW Norwich festival team. The training programme will start w/c 12 March 2018, running for 2 hours per week from 7pm – 9pm (exact day of week TBC with the volunteers) on the following weeks: w/c 12 March, w/c 19 March, w/c 16 April, w/c 23 April and w/c 30 April 2018 (for a debrief and evaluation session). The training sessions will equip the volunteer team to be part of the overall festival delivery team, with a particular emphasis on hosting the community.
