Helen Keen: Space Race!
Following on from our successful Family Day last November, we are hosting a fun-packed, space-themed afternoon during February Half Term with drop-in activities and comedy theatre.
Award-winning comedian, Helen Keen, presents a live, spacetacular show especially for younger space fans (for ages 7–11). Arrive in your space costume or whip one up out of free tinfoil before the show starts! See how rockets fly! Learn how they stay in orbit! And find out about the intrepid animals who have travelled into space!
Featuring Helen’s trademark unique mix of fascinating facts and space-based silliness along with plenty of audience participation, come and join her for a joyful exploration of stargazing, space-racing and the boundless opportunities of an infinite universe – with shadow puppets!
Free space-themed drop-in activities from 1pm–4pm:
Jam Jar Lava Lamps
Create a mini lava lamp using household ingredients. For all ages.
Design or decorate your own astronaut mask to wear before and after the show! For all ages.
Tin Foil Outfits
Helen Keen will be providing free tin foil on the day for people to create their own space costumes before the show. For all ages.
