MUSIC AT NORWICH ARTS CENTRE

Norwich Arts Centre and Norwich Historic Churches Trust have come together and commissioned Roger Eno to write a piece of work celebrating St Swithuns Church (Norwich Arts Centre), this brand new piece entitled “Flint” will be premiered at St Swithuns at 12.30pm and 2.30pm on both Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th April. Roger will be playing other pieces of work between 11-4 whilst the building is open, we look forward to you joining us.

Roger Eno is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and sound artist who cannot be easily categorised. He is hard to pin down and slippery as a fish, yet creates lush, emotive soundscapes which quite easily swallow you whole.

Roger’s powerful and versatile body of work easily lends itself to, and is frequently used in, TV, theatre and film. (Danny Boyle’s ‘Trainspotting’ and ‘Mr Wroe’s Virgins’ – for which Roger was BAFTA nominated, Dario Argento’s ‘Opera’ and Trevor Nunn’s NT production of Betrayal.)

His installations can be experienced in public spaces each year and he continues to tour and play live sets both as a solo artist and as an arch-collaborator.
